Here is a guide to what is open and closed on campus during winter break. As some staff may be working remotely, please use the A-Z Directory to find the best contact for your question. Please check this page frequently for updates as schedules are subject to change.
Salem State University offices and services will be closed in observation of the holidays on:
- Christmas (December 25) and
- New Year’s Day (January 1)
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 15)
Salem State will continue to be accessible to our students and the campus community during all other days of the holiday and winter break period (December 26 - 29).
Campus Dining Operations
Winter Break Dining
- December 21: Starbucks closes at 2:00 pm / North Campus Café Closes at 6:00 pm / Marsh Hall Dining closes at 7:00 pm
- December 22 - January 13: Marsh Dining Hall is open from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
- January 14: Marsh Dining Hall is open from 10:00 am to 2:00 am
- January 15: (Martin Luther King Jr. Day): Marsh Dining Hall is open normal hours from 7:00 am to 2:00 am
- January 16: All dining operations return normal hours
University Police
Is available to community members on the Harrington Campus 24/7 or by calling 978.542.6111.
Campus Shuttle
The campus shuttle will not be operating from December 21, 2023 - January 16, 2024.
