Center for Academic Excellence
The Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) helps students achieve academic success by providing a variety of academic services. These academic services include advising, tutoring, mentoring, supplemental instruction, reading and test-taking strategies, and collaborating with other departments to ensure that students have the appropriate academic supports to be successful at Salem State.
CAE works closely with other departments including but not limited to: disability services, counseling and health services, academic advising, honors program, writing center and the center for international education. Further, the center works with the faculty and staff to identify students who would benefit from additional academic support.
In addition to offering academic success programs for our enrolled students, CAE offers an alternative summer admissions program for students who would benefit from additional academic support. All programs offered by CAE are designed to help students meet their educational goals.
