About Atlantic Hall

Atlantic Hall is one of Salem State’s most vibrant living areas, overlooking the Marsh Quad, Salem Bike Path, and the salt marsh. Located on Harrington (Central) Campus, this modern residence hall houses a mix 450 students within 77 six-person apartments. 

Each fully-furnished apartment includes two double rooms, two single rooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and is air-conditioned. Kitchens come complete with a full-size stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher.

Atlantic offers small lounges throughout the building, and a spacious community space on the ground floor complete with a fitness room, laundry area, pool tables, in addition to a television and lounge area. 

Just steps from Atlantic, students can find Marsh Hall, Viking Hall, Starbucks, the Bertolon School of Business, a Viking Shuttle stop, the bookstore, the baseball field, and tennis courts.

Safety and Security

Atlantic Hall is staffed by a full-time resident director, an assistant resident director, and ten resident assistants. A 24-hour security/information desk is located at the entrance to the hall.

Sustainability

Atlantic Hall was designed to LEED standards. Among its sustainability features is a 60 KW rooftop photovoltaic array that supplements the building’s electrical requirements. An MTC grant incentive and a zero interest CREB loan supported this project. Monitor the solar performance.
