Interested in Living on Campus?

All students looking to live on campus must submit a housing deposit and a housing application.

• Live in close proximity to your classes, the library, the dining hall and all the campus has to offer!

• Access to on-site faculty (faculty in residence) and RAs to support your academic success

• Weekly programs in your hall to help you meet friends and create connections to campus

• Free WiFi for all residents

How to pay the $300 housing deposit:

1. Login to Navigator 

2. Go to "Financial Account"

3. Make a housing eDeposit 

4. "Fall 2025" 

5. Deposit Type:  “Housing Deposit CC FALL” or “Housing Deposit eCheck FALL" 

NOTE: After paying the housing deposit, kindly allow 24-48 business hours prior to accessing the Housing Portal to complete the Housing Application. This allows our staff to upload deposits, which is a manual process.

When completing the housing application, it is best to use a laptop.


To complete the Housing Application, you must log into the Housing Portal.

Enter your Sxxxxxx and password (same as your Navigator account)

For students who were unable to participate in housing selection and applied late, there will be an additional questionnaire available on your Housing Portal today that will be visible after you complete the housing application.
 

This 2025-2026 Room Placement Questionnaire is intended to gather specific roommate or assignment preferences from students who were unable to select during the process due missing the deadline. If there is a specific student you would like to live with, please indicate the names and ID numbers of the student who you’d like to live with. It is important to note that Residence Life does not guarantee or promise that these preferences will be met, as all assignments will be made as space allows. 

 

Students requesting specific placements may see a delay in receiving an assignment as we continue to work to accommodate as many requests as possible. This questionnaire will remain on file until your requests are met or until it is determined that we are not able to accommodate your specific requests. Note that at this time, the formal housing selection process has ended, so all assignments moving forward would be made by Residence Life.

For security and verification purposes, we ask that students communicate with our office via their Salem State email account, this will avoid emails landing in the junk box.

 

The Residence Life hours of operations are Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5 pm. Our offices are closed weekends and university observed holidays.
