Our Venues

The 90 seat black box theatre is located in the basement of the Sullivan Building, at the intersection of Lafayette Street and Loring Avenues. Entrance is located next to the Sophia Gordon Center, on 114 East (352 Lafayette Street).Park on the street or in the lot on College Drive, immediately after Meier Hall.

The Ellison Campus Center is located on North Campus directly behind the Sophia Gordon Center for Creative and Performing Arts and next to the Frederick E. Berry Library and Learning Commons. It houses the Winfisky Gallery and many of our creative writing events are hosted here. Park on the street or in the lot on College Drive, immediately after Meier Hall.

Salem State is home to a state-of-the art glassblowing studio. Public demonstrations are held in the studio at various times throughout the year as well as during the Rosenberg Glass Artists Residency held annually in the summer.

The Glassworks Studio is located in the Enterprise Center. 

Many of our dance workshops and programs are held in the O'Keefe Complex located at 225 Canal Street. Dance performances also take place in the Sophia Gordon Center. Parking is available in the O'Keefe Complex lot for evening and weekend dance events at O'Keefe.

The 165 seat Recital Hall is located on the ground floor of the Central Campus Classroom Building, 71 Loring Avenue (Route 1A). 

Guests of arts events taking place in the Recital Hall are welcome to park in the lot located on Loring Ave. , next to the Salem Diner and directly across from the entrance to 71 Loring Ave.

The Sophia Gordon Center is a 432 seat state-of-the art theatre located at 352 Lafayette Street on North Campus. Parking for events is available on the street and also in the North Campus lot located just past Meier Hall. 

The Winfisky Gallery is located  on the ground floor of the Ellison Campus Center (North Campus). Gallery hours are 10 am-4pm, Monday through Friday or by appointment. Call: 978.542.7890 for additional information.
