Career Support
Internships
CIS students complete two paid internships during their time at Salem State, gaining work experience, hands-on skills and money management opportunities.
In their first year, internships are on campus, with opportunities in the library, music and dance department, dining services, athletics, fitness center, mail room and others.
In their second year, internships are off-campus, including Salem Hospital, the Peabody Essex Museum, the Essex County District Attorney’s office, CVS, and Bertram House.

The Community of Inclusive Scholars internship program encourages growth in key skill employers want, including:

Career Support
During their time in the program, students also receive coaching and support for interviews, job shadowing, resume building, job searching and more. Students can attend the Salem State Career Fair and meet with their Executive Functioning Coach on campus.
