Prepared to Lead Workshop Series

Campaigns, Candidacy, and Civic Engagement  

The Frederick E. Berry Institute of Politics supports students with career interests in politics and public service – including elected office. Every year we host a running for office workshop series that empowers and equips undergraduate and graduate students with the skills and knowledge needed to run for elected office or work on an election campaign at any level. These workshops are facilitated by political consultants from The Davis System, LLC who have experience working with local, statewide, and national political and advocacy campaigns. Most sessions also feature guest speakers including current elected officials and experienced campaign staff. Upon completion of this program, students have the opportunity to secure internships and jobs with political candidates and elected officials.

Past participants have gone on to run for office and work in government including city council, Mayor’s office, field director, campaign manager, and legislative aide. Contact the Berry IOP for more information and how to apply.
