The Frederick E. Berry Institute of Politics and Civic Engagement aims to engage, educate, and inspire the Salem State and North Shore communities through political speakers and forums. These nonpartisan events will address current social, political, economic, and environmental issues facing our communities by bringing policymakers, political leaders, and public officials to campus. From large scale lectures to intimate meet-and-greets, the Berry IOP has opportunities for all students and community members interested in politics and public service.
Past events include:

Annual Constitution Day events co-sponsored with the politics, policy and international relations department which covers topics such as the commemoration of the 19th Amendment, defending voting rights amid COVID-19, and more.
