Meier Hall Addition
At the Meier Hall addition, foundation work continues. Concrete pouring operations for the slab-on-deck has commenced.
The construction manager will make the physical building addition connections to Meier Hall this summer. Mobilization for this work is commencing this week including mechanical make safe work, initial abatement and demolition on the 3rd and 4th floors. Learn more about the Meier Hall Addition.
Decarbonization Project Update
Drilling, looping, and grouting for the project's geothermal wells continues. Solar canopy foundations continue to be installed. Interior demolition within the Central Utility Plant continues. Initial underground excavation work has commenced on the exterior of the Central Utility Plant. The construction manager is mobilizing equipment and fencing on site this week in preparation for the first phase of the geothermal underground piping distribution project, which is scheduled to take place between July and November 2026 at the Upper North Quad area.
