Horace Mann Renovation and Meier Hall Addition
Construction activities continue to advance at both the Horace Mann Building and the Meier Hall Addition. Key work includes ongoing masonry restoration, roofing installation and repairs, exterior wall and window preparation, interior framing, and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection system installations. In addition, the existing plinth area at Horace Mann is being removed (this work will be particularly noisy). At Meier Hall, crews are continuing exterior enclosure work, roof installation and interior build-out activities, while foundation and slab work progresses in select areas. These efforts represent significant milestones as the project moves from structural construction into enclosure and interior fit-out phases.

The construction manager is completing utility and drainage improvements adjacent to Peabody Hall. At the Central Utility Plant, fire alarm work and mechanical equipment installation is ongoing. Distribution piping and foundation construction at the Upper Quad is ongoing.
