Salem State offers 32 undergraduate degree programs in the liberal arts, human services and business, along with graduate programs that provide degrees in 24 fields and a continuing education division that offers both credit and non-credit programs.
Salem State University's Fresh Start Program gives a second chance to students who left the university after struggling academically. We recognize that with a certain time away, students may gain developmental awareness that helps them do better academically.
Former students can only apply after a minimum of two academic years away from the university. If you are unsure of your eligibility for Fresh Start, you are encouraged to schedule an appointment with a member of our Academic Advising team to discuss your options.
Approval for the Fresh start program is not guaranteed, as all applicants are reviewed by a committee of Salem State University staff/administrators regarding their candidacy.
We highly recommend applicants to meet with an academic advisor prior to applying for Fresh Start. If you need to schedule an appointment, please contact the advising office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 978.542.5500.
