Student Employment Office
Student employment provides matriculated students (those enrolled in a degree-seeking program) with various employment opportunities both on and off campus. Our three student employment programs, Federal College Work-Study, Institutional (03) Employment, and Job Location and Development, can help you meet your educational and financial needs. Our jobs offer you the opportunity to work with exceptional people, gain valuable experience, and enhance your resume.
On-campus job opportunities are posted on the Student Employment page, and off-campus jobs are posted in Navigator. When students log in to Navigator, they click the menu tab, select "Campus Life," and then "Career Services."
The Student Employment Office is located in the administration building, directly behind the Sullivan Building, on the north campus. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am-5 pm.

Federal Work-Study Policies
To receive Federal Work-Study funds, a student must have a FAFSA on file with the Financial Aid Office, and their financial aid file must be complete. The student is responsible for seeking out, interviewing, and securing a Work-Study position on campus.
Please remember that employment is not guaranteed. Work-study is available only during the Fall and Spring semesters. Federal Work-Study funding is not available for the Summer term.
Students receiving Federal Work-Study funds must secure a job placement within three weeks of the start of the semester. If a student has not secured a position by the end of the third week, their Federal Work-Study award will be canceled.
Students hired under Work-Study must show earnings five weeks into the semester they are employed; otherwise, their Federal Work-Study award for that semester will be canceled.
Once canceled, the award cannot be reinstated.
Students who receive Federal Work-Study funds must complete all employment paperwork and contract with the Student Employment Office. They must also have the appropriate documentation (originals only, no copies).
Students not initially awarded work-study may place their name on the work-study waitlist at the start of the Fall semester.
Before students begin working, they must submit a copy of their semester class schedule to their supervisor. Work schedules are arranged with the student and their supervisor around the student's classroom hours. Students cannot work during regularly scheduled class times, even if the class is canceled.
Students may hold only one work-study position per term and are limited to working 20 hours per week. However, students with a work-study position may also be employed simultaneously in a regular student employment position. If a student has a work-study position and a regular student employment position, they can work a maximum of 29 hours per week in total.
Student employees are paid bi-weekly, and wages can vary depending on their position.
