Information technology services training sessions are free and open to administrators, staff and faculty. Training session are held every semester and also available during winter, spring and summer breaks. If you missed a training session or would like to request a department specific training, email its-training@salemstate.edu.
Applications, programs and software
There are a variety of systems applications, programs and software to assist administrators and staff in the roles and responsibilities for their position. There are trainings and overviews provided that provide instructions for use and ongoing support and assistance for use. Access and permissions is determined by the functional role and demands for production.

There are a variety of systems applications, programs and software to assist faculty, staff, and administrators in their roles and responsibilities for their position. There are workshops and materials that provide instructions for use, ongoing support and assistance.
ITS Training room’s primary use is for training and/or for meetings that require the use of computers. Other events and special meetings are subject to approval. The room is fit with up-to-date software and programs to support most training programs. Reservations are made on a first come first serve basis and users must adhere to guidelines for use listed below.
Seat availability: 20 persons
Computer availability: 16 Dell Laptops
Equipment: Teachers station with audio and video capability, wall projection, conference calling, equipment connectors, PC available, laptop available upon request
Programs available: Microsoft Office 2010 and 2013, Adobe Pro XI, OnBase, internet connectivity, guest and user sign on, Articulate (on 3 laptops) and web access to Conduct Coordinator, Housing and MAP-Works (cocotest, housingtest).

The Academic Technology Services and Training team provides information related to ITS technologies and services through consulting, guidance, training and development programs and support. There are two functional components of the team to work with SSU’s community.
