Due to weather conditions, Massachusetts is currently under a state of emergency. Several campus buildings have been impacted by power outages in the city of Salem. Salem State is working closely with National Grid to address the issue as quickly as possible.
Campus Update, 3 pm
Salem State will remain closed for both day and evening classes on Tuesday, February 24.
Dining
Dinner will be served in North Campus Dining Hall from 5-10 pm. The facilities team is prioritizing snow removal on walkways to and from North Campus Dining.
Maintenance Requests
The facilities department is on campus and monitoring work order requests. Report maintenance issues here.

Campus Power
Marsh, Atlantic and Bertolon buildings are currently operating on emergency generator power. We have been in communication with National Grid and we anticipate an update later today. Please keep your windows closed to help regulate building temperatures and reduce the risk of burst pipes. Elevators in Atlantic and Marsh are currently not operational.
The Forten Hall lounge and conference areas, including the Starbucks seating area and Forten 123, and Ellison Campus Center all have full power and are open for students.

Cold and wind can become dangerous without proper clothing. If you must go outdoors, dress warmly, cover any exposed skin, and wear multiple layers. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear when walking outside and use caution when walking on sidewalks and entrances as surfaces may be icy.

The Berry Library and Learning Commons is currently closed.
Gassett Fitness Center / Esports Lounge
The Gassett Fitness Center and Esports Lounge will be closed on Tuesday, February 24. All department programs and activities are canceled.
Campus Shuttles
Shuttles are not currently operating.
Ellison Campus Center
Campus Center programs and activities are canceled for Tuesday, February 24.
