Presented by our First Year Experience Office, learn how students and families can help students be successful at Salem State with resources, information on deadlines and more!
Advising Presentation
Presented by our Advising Team, learn about what and how the team can help your students when it comes to academic questions or topics. They will also go over certain academic requirements, when the add/drop period happens and their deadlines. You will also learn more about different resources that can help you with your student’s academic career here at Salem State University.
Family Edition: Business of Being a Student
Presented by our Nav Center staff, learn about your student’s bill and financial aid. Ask all the questions you need; they are here to help guide you!
Family Edition: Discover Salem State
Families will have the opportunity to meet with certain offices and learn more about what that specific offices do. There will be multiple stations during this session, so families will split into groups. There will be two versions of this session to give families the opportunity to learn about each office.
University Police
Families will learn about our campus safety and the types of resources our University Police offer.
Center for Accessible Academic Resources (CAAR)
Families will learn about the different types of accommodations available through CAAR. They will also learn how a student can start and finish the process of filing needed accommodation(s).
Viking Family Hub
Families will learn about the family portal, how it works, and get involved on what students are doing on campus! The Viking Family Hub is a resource platform for the Viking Supporters, for reminders, deadlines, and upcoming events.
