Horace Mann Renovation Update

Meier Hall Addition
At the Meier Hall addition, foundation work continues. Concrete pouring operations for the slab-on-deck will be commencing this week.
The construction manager will make the physical connections to the Meier Building this summer. In addition, they will also work on installing a fire curtain at specific corridor and stairwell areas. Mobilization for this work is commencing including mechanical make safe work, abatement, demolition of windows and walls (to make way for the new bridge connections), and installation of temporary partitions. Decarbonization Project Update
Drilling, looping and grouting for the project's geothermal wells continues. The contractor will soon be commencing the installation of the solar canopy foundation system. Interior demolition within the Central Utility Plant continues. Learn more about the Decarbonization Project.
