Salem State Recognizes More Than 200 Scholarship Recipients at 23rd Annual Scholar and Donor Reception

Salem State University held its 23rd Annual Scholar and Donor Reception where more than 200 students were recognized for receiving scholarships totaling more than $570,000 on Friday, November 22.

During the reception, which included a complimentary dinner, scholarship recipients were given the chance to meet their scholarship donors and thank them for their generosity.

Salem State President John Keenan gave remarks during the reception in which he thanked all of the donors and congratulated the scholarship recipients.

“You have worked tremendously hard to be here and we all know this is just the beginning of your success.” Keenan said to the scholarship recipients. “For all of us here tonight, whether donor or student, we are all joined by a shared vision for a better future, and it is the bond of Salem State that ties us all together.”

Students are automatically reviewed for Salem State academic scholarships and grants by completing both the FAFSA and the Salem State endowed scholarships application using AcademicWorks where they can find external opportunities.
