Sociology Professor Tiffany Chenault discusses her running journey and how the Boston Marathon can be more inclusive

Tiffany Chenault is a sociology professor at Salem State University, and her personal journey with running sparked her academic curiosity. Running is not just a healthy endeavor. As Tiffany Chenault discovered in her running journey, striking sociological patterns are evident in the sport of running.

“Running is really a microcosm of a larger society. So even though it should be all welcoming and inclusive, it's not,” sociologist Tiffany Chenault tells GBH.
