The Center for Civic Engagement offers an engaging introduction to advocacy workshop for students. In this workshop students will identify important social issues, recognize personal strengths, skills, and resources and how they are to be used in the advocacy process. Students will also gain a brief introduction to Deepa Iyer's Social Change Ecosystem Map. They will learn how to identify elected officials, effectively utilize them in the advocacy process, and steps to develop an advocacy campaign.
