Graduation Portraits

Congratulations to students who completed their degree requirements during Summer or Fall 2025! You are invited to sign-up for an appointment to be photographed in your graduation gown by a professional photographer. A link to sign up for appointments will be sent to the SSU email address for each student who applied to graduate. Please note student's official clearance for graduation comes from the registrar’s office. We encourage you to invite your friends and family members to join you in these graduation portraits. Let’s celebrate your important accomplishment!

Graduation Portraits events will be held on Thursday, December 11 from 3pm-6:30pm and Friday, December 12 from 2pm-6:30pm in the Commuter Lounge on the first floor of the Ellison Campus Center. Individual appointments will be available every few minutes, allowing students to attend with friends at or near the same time frame. Students may choose up to 10 guests to accompany them for the group photographs. 

Parking is available in the University Garage on North Campus, next to Peabody Hall. 

Free Print! Proofs from the photographs will be sent to each student who participates. Each student may choose one 5x7 print for free. There is no charge to pose for photos and no obligation to purchase for participating in the professional photographs, but there is a shipping charge for the free photo.  

Students who completed their degree requirements last summer or this fall will be invited to attend their school’s or college’s commencement ceremony in May 2026. Please continue to monitor the Salem State webpage and your SSU email for information about these events, such as when to pick up your cap and gown or claim your commencement tickets.
