April Volunteer Ventures

Apr 18
Mack Park Food Farm

Come join the Center for Civic Engagement and Dr.Thomas Piñeros Shields for our April Volunteer Ventures at Mack Park Food Farm on Saturdays in April from 9-11:30 am! Mack Park is a local municipal farm that produces thousands of pounds of organically grown food annually, which is distributed free of charge to the Salem community through The Salem Pantry and community farmers’ markets, with the mission of providing our community with healthy, locally grown food.

Volunteer activities include preparing the farm for the upcoming planting season. Anticipate some mud; clothing and shoes that you can get dirty are recommended! Dress in layers and bring a water bottle.

Transportation is provided from Central Campus (8:35 am pick-up) and from outside Meier Hall (8:45 am pick-up). If you do not need transportation, please meet us at Mack Park Farm (31 Grove St, Salem, MA) at 9 am.

Before attending, please fill out the waiver required by the City of Salem.
