Graduate Thesis Preparation

Several master's programs offer the option of writing a thesis.

If you are interested in pursuing the thesis option, your first step is to work with your graduate program coordinator to identify a suitable advisor who will work with you to develop your proposal. When your advisor or coordinator indicates you are ready to formally enroll in the thesis course, you should submit the Application for Thesis Registration form.

Once your thesis is completed but before you submit it, edit carefully to ensure that your thesis follows the Thesis Specification in the Graduate Thesis Resources and Guidance document.

Upon completion of your thesis and the program-level approval process, you will submit the document using the Thesis Submission form. This form will initiate a process that documents your thesis committee’s approval and requests approval of the format and similar elements from the School of Graduate Studies office.

For questions about thesis submission, contact Danney Rasco at the School of Graduate Studies.
