Salem State World Languages and Cultures Professor Kristine Doll completed a translation of Barcelonan poet August Bover's book-length poem Terres de llicorella from Catalan to English. The complete work has been published in "Asymptote."
Doll's translation of Bover's homage to the wine-making region of Catalonia, Spain has been called "supple, sensitive and evocative" by the journal's editor, Lee Yew Leong. Read Doll's translation and hear a selection in Catalan.
