Swampscott Resident Named Recipient of SSU Distinguished Graduate Award

Mar 18, 2026

SALEM, MASS. – Erin Boyce Lamb ’95, of Swampscott, has been named the 2025 recipient of the Dr. Marilyn E. Flaherty ’54 Distinguished Graduate Award. Established by the Salem State University Alumni Association and Foundation, Inc., the award recognizes distinguished alumni for their outstanding professional accomplishments.

Lamb graduated in 1995 from Salem State with honors, earning her bachelor’s degree in communications/public relations. As a student, she was a writer and advertising manager for the student newspaper, “The Log,” worked as a tutor in the Mary G. Walsh Writing Center and was a recipient of the Silver Key Award, which is awarded to student leaders.

Professionally, she has held roles in publishing and design with organizations like Fidelity Investments and Barstool Sports before shifting to real estate in 2007. Since earning her license through Salem State’s community enrichment program, she has become a top North Shore Realtor, earning multiple awards and founding Lamb & Co. Home Staging, which won the 2021 “Best of the Best Home Interiors” award.

“My time at Salem State taught me invaluable lessons in work-life balance, a skill that I was able to carry into both my professional and personal life,” Lamb said. “The sense of community I experienced inspired me to give back throughout my career and personal journey.”

In 2017, Lamb faced the devastating loss of her husband, the father of their then four-year-old twins. Turning tragedy into a way to help others, she established the Brian Lamb Memorial Scholarship fund, which is awarded to Swampscott High School seniors who have lost a parent.

“Erin has built a thriving career through hard work and determination and continuously finds ways to support and uplift others,” said Mike Mitchell ’07, director of engagement at Salem State. “Her connection to Salem State University remains strong, and she serves as a shining example of what our alumni can achieve.”
