Vikings, it’s time to channel your inner interior designer for our room decorating contest this fall! This contest will award $50 in ClipperCash to five winners, one from each residence hall: Atlantic, Bowditch, Peabody, Marsh and Charlotte Forten Hall. The contest is open to all students living on campus, and winners will be voted by YOU!
The contest will accept submissions through Wednesday, September 10 and voting will take place Friday, September 12.
Winners will be notified by Tuesday, September 16.
Prize
Winners for individual rooms will be awarded $50 in ClipperCash. Those living in a double can submit one entry and will be awarded $100, or $50 each.
Rules
Participants must follow these rules to qualify for the contest:
- Make sure you are following @salemstate on Instagram!
- Participants must be Salem State students and live in an on-campus residence hall.
- Complete the online application by the September 10, 2025 deadline.
- Submit only your best photo of your room in the submission link. Please do not send a collage photo!
- Do not include visible drug or alcohol paraphernalia, promotional materials or obscene materials. You or your roommate should not be included in the picture.
- If you live in a double, both roommates must agree to participate in the contest. Submitted photos that are not approved by both roommates will be removed.
- The contest applies to individual bedroom spaces only, not common spaces.
- Entries are judged based on the photographs submitted by residents. In submitting a photo, residents permit any images taken during this process to be used indefinitely on Salem State’s website and in marketing materials for the purposes of providing visual examples of on-campus living.
