New SACNAS Chapter at Salem State!

Biology professor Dr. Laura Laranjo has worked with STEM students to establish a local SACNAS Chapter at Salem State. SACNAS is an inclusive organization dedicated to fostering the success of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans, from college students to professionals, in attaining advanced degrees, careers and leadership positions in STEM.

Everyone is welcome to join SACNAS, which aims to “create space where STEM students and professionals from historically underrepresented populations can feel like they belong, can embrace their intersectional identities, and be empowered to bring their whole selves to STEM.”

Membership to join the Salem State SACNAS Chapter is free and interested students should contact Dr. Laranjo.
