Forgotten Women Veterans

Grace Nangle, founder of the SSU Nursing Program, served in the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps.

Nearly 125,000 young women honorably served in the USCNC during World War II, yet they are the only uniformed service members from that war who have not been recognized as veterans. They are petitioning to preserve their legacy by recognizing their service to our country with honorary veteran status.
