Faculty, staff, and students can hear about SSU first-gen students' experiences coming to college, join a First Community Conversation with the Center for Teaching Innovation, read about Featured Firsts all week in the dining commons, browse thorough new library resource at the Berry Library, and join a celebration with the RISE program!

Join faculty, staff and students as we brainstorm ideas to improve how we teach and serve first-generation students at SSU. Focusing particularly on the classroom learning environment, we aim to leverage the knowledge of our community, uncover needs and find practices that support our first-gen students.
