Faculty Member's Autism Research Featured on WBZ News

Professor Laurie Dickstein-Fischer's innovative autism research was recently featured on WBZ-TV news.

Professor Dickstein-Fischer developed a robot to assist children with autism called PABI (Penguin for Autism Behavioral Intervention). This innovative technology was done in collaboration with professor Gregory Fischer at WPI. PABI's features help children with autism develop new skills and records data automatically, freeing up the teacher to focus on the child. Because the robot is easy enough for parents and caretakers to operate, it adds vital therapeutic time to a child's weekly schedule.
