Education Faculty Member Hosts Podcast Series on Learning Disabilities

Professor Kristina Scott (Childhood Education and Care) recently recorded a series of 20 podcasts with the Learning Disabilities Association. LDA’s mission is to create opportunities for success for all individuals affected by learning disabilities through support, education and advocacy.

The podcast series offers something for everyone in the learning disability community, including pre-service teachers, individuals/families with learning disabilities, educators, and teacher preparation professionals.

Episodes include personal stories of individuals who have a learning disability, professionals working to provide more inclusive opportunities for those with LD, and research based-approaches to best meet the needs of students or professionals with learning disabilities.

The first episode, released on June 3, features an interview with Dr. John B. King, the tenth secretary of education, in which Dr. King discusses teaching for all and how best to support diversifying the teaching staff.

New episodes are released each Wednesday on iTunes and Spotify.
