Dean Wladyslaw Witalisz of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, visited Salem State University to establish an international cooperation that will provide for study travel and research opportunities for students and faculty.
He visited the SSU Archives and viewed the papers of Sonia Schreiber Weitz, a Polish holocaust survivor who immigrated to the North Shore area after the war. The collection includes correspondence, personal documents, news coverage, and Sonia’s personal photo albums which include photos taken during her time at Displaced Persons camps.
