Call for Applications: Spring 2025 Faculty Research Alternative Professional Responsibility (RAPR) Course Release

Provost Silva and Salem State University’s Center for Research and Creative Activities (CRCA) are pleased to announce the continuation of the Research APR program with an offering of 6 three-credit research APRs to be awarded for spring 2025.

CRCA invites applications from full-time, tenured or tenure-track SSU faculty for a three-credit research APR for the spring 2025 semester.

To apply:

  • Email the following to ssu-research@salemstate.edu with “Spring 2025 Research APR” in the subject line:
    • “Proposal for Research APR” PDF form, signed by department chair and area dean, available for download in Polaris
    • CV - maximum of two pages
    • Supporting documentation as appropriate, such as IRB approval, publisher’s contract, grant award letter, etc.

Additional consideration will be given to proposals for projects that address the themes of social justice, climate change, and/or diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, as outlined in the SSU Strategic Plan.

Application deadline: February 15, 2024

Applications will be reviewed by a committee composed of faculty and administrators. Final decision will be made by the Provost. Applicants will be notified before May 1, 2024.
