Ages of Activism: Legacies of Student Organizing at Salem State

Public History Speaker Series

Join us as we welcome Salem State alumni and current students to discuss the legacies of student activism and contemporary movements and efforts. Alumni activists will reflect on the rich culture of activism during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Current student activists will share their experiences, hopes and frustrations. We will explore how activism has changed over time and examine the impact students have made as a result of their organizing.

This event has been organized by History 305/Introduction to Public History students as part of a larger effort to research, interpret and display histories of student activism at Salem State during the 1960s and 1970s.

Date: Wednesday, May 4, 4:30-6 pm
