The 2024 Friends of the School of Social Work presents their annual spring professional development workshop. This workshop is intended to educate participants on the role of firearms in suicidal crises, as well as their prevalence domestically.  

Participants will learn how to provide Lethal Means Safety Counseling through Motivational Interviewing techniques. This technique can be used to engage others in discussions related to safe firearm storage in a constructive manner.
