A Trike Called Funk: A pop up party on three wheels

Sep 08

Students, this is a not-to-be-missed event! A Trike Called Funk will be on campus on Monday, September 8 from 11 am-1 pm. Stop by the North Campus quad to check out this party on three wheels and start the semester with community, music and dancing.

DJ Edward Galan and dance lead Aaron Myers will activate the space with music genres and dance forms rooted in Funk and Hip Hop across the African diaspora in the Americas. They will be joined by the UNDRGRD, Salem State's own urban street dance collective.

This event takes place during the Student Involvement Fair, which runs from 11:30 am-1 pm. You can meet student organizations, interest groups, and offices with volunteer opportunities (and, yes, there will be giveaways)!

A Trike Called Funk is presented by music and dance, first year experience and the Center for Creative and Performing Arts.
