SoTL Scholars Grant Program

Apply for the inaugural SoTL Scholars Grant!

The purpose of the SoTL Scholars Grant program is to provide faculty who are new to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning the resources and opportunity to create, implement, and disseminate their own SoTL research project. The SoTL Scholars program runs from Jun 10, 2024 until June 1, 2025 and will have a number of deliverables detailed below. Five Scholars will be chosen for the pilot of this program, and each participant will receive a $1,000 stipend and a copy of Engaging in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning: A Guide to the Process, and How to Develop a Project from Start to Finish by Cathy Bishop-Clark and Beth Dietz-Uhler. 

Faculty who are new to SoTL research are particularly encouraged to apply.

Important Information: 

  • Open to full-time and part-time faculty
  • Proposals are due by May 1, 2024
  • Those who receive the grant will be notified by May 17, 2024
  • Three-day institute (in-person) at the beginning of the summer (June 10, 2024)
  • Group check-ins throughout the year
  • Individual support provided as needed
