Regular and Substantive Interaction in Online Courses: A Primer

Status message

Please note that this event has already occurred.

The purpose of this virtual session is for faculty to intentionally create activities and implement methods within online courses that are considered regular and substantive interactions (RSI) with students and ensure some level of consistency. On July 1, 2021, the U.S. Department of Education updated its regulations for online learning to clarify that distance education courses must ensure regular and substantive interaction (RSI) between instructors and students. Join MCC, NECC, NSCC, and SSU faculty in this session to learn more about RSI, its methods and ideas, and how to incorporate or enhance interactions in your online courses. Registration required.

Facilitated by Melba Acevedo, Northern Essex CC and Roxanne McCorry, Middlesex Community College (a Northeast Regional Consortium event)
