Reframing the Narrative: Alternative Jewish Voices on Israel and Palestine

Feb 25

Salem State faculty and staff will discuss debates occurring in Israel, in the United States, in Massachusetts, and on campus, about whether being Jewish necessarily means supporting Israel, and whether protesting or criticizing Israel is harmful to Jewish people.  Some believe that being Jewish does not require any particular stance on Israel, and that laws, rules, and policies should not attempt to limit opposition to Israel.  Jewish people, like all people, have a wide range of political opinions, including about Israel and Palestine.

Short presentations will be followed by open discussion with the audience.
