Topic: The Jeremiah Lee Brick Kitchen & Slave Quarters Excavation

Join us as we welcome Lauren McCormack, executive director of the Marblehead Museum, for a conversation on the acquisition of the kitchen and  former slave quarters next door to the Jeremiah Lee Mansion in 2021. McCormack will walk us through efforts to use archaeology to research and incorporate the stories of underrepresented individuals into the public understanding of Marblehead’s history.
