Pride Month Lunch & Learn: SSU Safe Zone Training

The Center for Equity, Education and Belonging (CEEB) and the Center for Teaching Innovation (CTI) invite Salem State University faculty, staff, and administrators to attend our Safe Zone Training, an opportunity to strengthen our collective commitment to LGBTQIA+ inclusion, belonging, and support.

Safe Zone training provides a space to learn about LGBTQIA+ identities, gender and sexuality, and examine prejudice, assumptions, and privilege. The training session will explore LGBTQIA+ identities and terminology, dos and don'ts, allyship, and strategies for creating affirming environments for LGBTQIA+ students and colleagues. Participants will gain practical tools to foster a campus culture where all community members feel respected, valued, and supported.

Whether you are beginning your journey as an ally or looking to deepen your existing knowledge, SafeZone Training offers an opportunity to learn, reflect, and identify meaningful ways to contribute to a more inclusive Salem State community.

Participants will receive a Safe Zone Trained sticker upon completing the training!
