Money Matters presents: Secure Your Future: Protecting Your Finances Through Internet Security

Today’s students manage nearly all their finances online—banking, shopping, payments, and apps—making them prime targets for cybercriminals. This interactive cybersecurity workshop helps students understand how everyday online habits directly impact their financial security. Participants will learn how cybercriminals steal money through phishing, fake websites, password reuse, public Wi-Fi, mobile apps, and emerging AI-driven scams such as deepfakes.

Through real-world examples, live “spot-the-scam” quizzes, and hands-on scenarios, students will build practical skills to protect their digital wallets. Topics include creating strong passwords and passphrases, using multi-factor authentication (MFA), securing mobile devices, shopping safely online, and knowing what to do if an account is compromised. The workshop emphasizes simple, actionable habits—not technical expertise—to help students reduce risk, recognize red flags, and respond quickly to threats.

This session empowers students with the knowledge and confidence to safeguard their money, identity, and future in an increasingly AI-enabled digital world.

Space is limited to 24 participants!
