"Low-Tech" and Online Spaces in Course Design and Assessment After AI

Sep 29
Workshop for Faculty

As teachers continue to assess the impact of AI on teaching and learning, we've seen a number of responses emphasize "low tech" approaches in coursework and assessment. This session will survey some recent pivots away from digital tools and spaces in course contexts, and we'll discuss what might be gained or lost in low-tech teaching. We'll also discuss how to talk with students about course technology policies and consider where online spaces and low-tech approaches might complement one another.

Facilitated by Jim McGrath, instructional designer, Center for Teaching Innovation (CTI).
