Inclusive Excellence, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy (MIRA) Coalition and the Welcome Immigrant Network (WIN), invites you to join us on Zoom for virtual session focused on immigrant rights and current immigration policy updates.

Session Overview

Part I: Know Your Rights — What Immigrants Should Know
Overview of fundamental rights when interacting with law enforcement or Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and key considerations if an individual is arrested, detained, or believes their rights have been violated.

 

Part II: Immigration Policy Updates
The MIRA Coalition will present recent developments in immigration policy, including updates on Temporary Protected Status (TPS), the citizenship process, and other pertinent policy changes in regards to status and enforcement.

 

Part III: Q&A and Closing
The program will conclude with a moderated question-and-answer session, followed by resources for supporting immigrant communities at Salem State University and beyond.

 

This event is open to all members of the university community and invited guests who seek to expand their understanding of immigrant rights, policy developments, and available resources.
