Graduate and Research Assistantships - Applications Open

Nov 03

The School of Graduate Studies is proud to support our graduate students through the Graduate and Research Assistantship program. These positions provide financial support (tuition remission and stipend) and offer an opportunity to collaborate with Salem State University faculty and staff in practical and applied educational experiences.

Student Opportunities

Starting November 3, 2025 current and newly matriculated graduate students can apply for assistantship positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. To learn more, visit the Graduate Assistantships webpage. Priority deadline for students is March 2, 2026.

Faculty and Staff Opportunities

Faculty and staff also can apply for assistantship support starting November 3, 2025, for the 2026-2027 academic year. The faculty and staff deadline is February 2, 2026, and applications will not be reviewed after this time to ensure that student applications are reviewed and awarded in a timely fashion.

Successful faculty and staff applicants will review qualified graduate student applicants to select a student recipient who can benefit from the experience and contribute meaningfully to the faculty or staff member’s research or projects.
