Facilitated by Jim McGrath, PhD; featuring faculty presenters
This 90-minute workshop, hosted by the Center for Teaching Innovation, will focus on the role course feedback plays in assessment, inviting attendees to reflect on when, how, and why they have modeled, shared, and encouraged feedback with students.
We will focus on course strategies that move away from "one-time assessment" models to discuss approaches that emphasize "feedback loops" (among other methods). We'll also talk about formats, genres, and language to consider when reflecting on what our students know and don't know about instructor and peer feedback best practices.
Attendees are encouraged to bring an assignment (from a current or future course) to consider opportunities to revise or expand the role that feedback plays in connecting course assessment to course objectives.
