Join the Center for Research and Creative Activities for Fulbright Day on Thursday, May 16, to celebrate Salem State's prestigious recognition as a top producer of Fulbright U.S. Scholars and learn more about how to apply for a Fulbright.

Recently named a 2023-2024 Fulbright Top Producing Institution, Salem State faculty, staff, and students have received grants to conduct research and teach in diverse locations like India, Chile, Liberia, and many more.

The Fulbright Program fosters international educational exchange, building enduring connections between the U.S. and other nations. With funding from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and support from various global entities, the program operates in over 160 countries worldwide.

Since its establishment in 1946, the Fulbright Program has provided over 380,000 individuals - including students, scholars, teachers, artists, and professionals - with opportunities to study, teach, research, and collaborate internationally, addressing shared global challenges along the way.

Learn about Fulbright opportunities available to full-time, part-time, and retired faculty members. Learn about exciting new formats such as the "flex award," which is ideal for shorter travel periods to multiple destinations. Even if you're not currently considering a sabbatical, the flex award might align with your schedule, or you could explore opportunities as a Fulbright Specialist. Join us for a networking luncheon with current and former SSU Fulbright recipients. Gain valuable tips and encouragement, and enjoy a vegetarian lunch in a collegial atmosphere. Fulbright alumni often speak about the transformative impact of their experiences, both personally and professionally, and this is a great opportunity to hear their stories firsthand.
