Join Salem State University President John D. Keenan and the Charlotte Forten Committee for a dedication and reception to celebrate the naming of Charlotte Forten Hall (formerly Viking Hall).
This dedication will continue to honor the legacy of the life and social commitment of our earliest African American graduate, Charlotte Forten. The celebration also recognizes the activism of our students and their advocacy to ensure that Charlotte played a more prominent role on our campus.
