Anna Sokolow Workshop with Kirsten McKinney

Oct 29

As a performer, choreographer, and teacher, Anna Sokolow had an extraordinary influence on the world of dance, drawing inspiration from her own life and the challenges she saw in the world throughout the 20th century. She began her career as a dancer with Martha Graham and became one of the most dynamic of the modern dance choreographers whose repertoire can be found in dance companies around the world. She also contributed to the theatre choreographing for the Broadway stage, as well as teaching movement to actors at The Actors Studio. She created a body of work that blends modern dance and music with theatre, poetry and prose.

All are welcome to attend this workshop.

Kirsten McKinney is an award-winning choreographer, having choreographed over 200 musicals, mostly in and around Boston.
