This online session for faculty will review current best practices when designing generative AI policies for courses and assignments. We will discuss generative AI's impact on academic honesty and assessment, we will highlight some strategies that instructors here and elsewhere have taken up to show students where AI tools do (and do not) align with course learning objectives, and we will discuss challenges students and faculty have faced in relation to AI course and assignment policies. Facilitated by Jim McGrath, instructional designer (jmcgrath2@salemstate.edu).
