Invitation to ALL Salem State University Students :
Hello Future Cybersecurity Professional,
The MassCyberCenter created the Cybersecurity Mentorship Program pairing undergraduate students from all backgrounds with a passion for cybersecurity with mentors in the industry. This highly competitive program matches you with a cybersecurity professional in Massachusetts as your cybersecurity guide and mentor. This is an amazing opportunity to start building your network, as making connections with cybersecurity professionals is a great way to get your foot in the door. Your mentor can tell you about their experience in the industry, the different types of careers in cybersecurity, and how to leverage your studies into a rewarding career.
Applications are being accepted until September 14, 2026. To apply, please complete the short form.
If accepted into this highly competitive program, you will participate in the following activities:
- Direct Mentorship: You and your mentor will engage in a one-on-one, ongoing dialogue on careers in cybersecurity. You will be paired with a mentor who shares your interests in cybersecurity.
- Cybersecurity Project: You will work on a cybersecurity project under the guidance of your mentor. Projects will be presented in a showcase event in December upon conclusion of the Mentorship Program. More details about the project are contained in the application.
- Events: You will be invited to cybersecurity virtual sessions and events.
As part of the direct mentorship or working on the project, students and mentors are expected to meet one hour every two weeks at a minimum.
The program runs from early October through December. Most activities will take place virtually. Read additional information about the Cybersecurity Mentorship Program can be found on the MassCyberCenter’s website.
