Salem State University warmly invites faculty, staff, campus leaders and community members to register and join us at the Inaugural Salem State Servingness Summit, a community-wide convening dedicated to advancing equity, justice, and student success through intentional, culturally affirming practice.
Hosted by Inclusive Excellence’s Center for Equity, Education, and Belonging (CEEB) and HSI–MSI Initiatives, this day-long summit brings together faculty, staff, and university leadership to advance Salem State’s shared commitment to equity, justice, and student success. Guided by the theme, From Vision to Action: Advancing Equity and Justice Through Servingness, the summit aims to move us beyond enrollment metrics to examine how our institution actively supports the academic success, well-being, and sense of belonging of all our students.
The Servingness Summit directly supports Salem State’s Roadmap to Servingness, Strategic Plan, and our continued journey toward earning the Seal of Excelencia. Registration is encouraged for all faculty, staff, and campus leaders, particularly those in student-facing and decision-making roles.
Additional event details, including the full agenda and session descriptions, will be shared with registered participants prior to the summit. Our goal is to equip our community with shared frameworks, tools, and strategies to embed equity, justice, and culturally affirming practices in respective departments and across institutional systems, pedagogy, and student engagement.
